In terms of the actual competition, the bot did very poorly, loosing its first match due to the drive motors dying a few seconds in, and loosing its second match from having no drive at all. Despite failing at the event MK5 was still a huge success in terms of the blade. This iteration made the major change from O-rings to gears and it worked beautifully. Pretty much everything was better regarding the blade for this event, it was faster, stronger, easier to repair, and more durable. The only downside in the weapon system seemed to be heat build up due to the faster speeds, but this can be improved in future iterations.
