Doomba&#039;s acting mission statement is to test competitive, novel technologies in a beautifully designed package. Each version of Doomba will bring something new to the arena and stride ahead of the previous version. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Doomba version one was publicly announced November 2021 by builders Jake Hoffmann, Henry Tran and Joe Murphy. In its first iteration it was designed to be a horizontal mid-cutter. The original concept sports the impact absorbing formed UHMW shock armor. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After Xtremebots spring 2022 Doomba received a ground up redesign. Doomba in its current form is designed as a high energy undercutter. The body maintains the formed UHMW armor which is shock mounted using biomimiced TPU hyoid bones. The armor plow sports 2 skulls, representing the project&#039;s wins against &#039;Special Spatula&#039; and &#039;Herbie 2&#039; &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;lil guy&#039; and armor artwork were designed by Kendall Matsey more at: https://kendallmatsey.com/ &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Weapon is fabricated from AR600 steel welded to a live shaft driven on tapered roller bearings. This allows Doomba to take extreme impacts without compromising frame or weapon integrity.&lt;br /&gt;

The drive sports 30a urethane wheels, &#039;liftoff&#039; style titanium cleats. A unique upgrade to this subsystem is the &#039;toe-in&#039; wheels. The angle pushes the axis of rotation further back on the robot, closer to the center of mass, allowing for quicker turning. Human reaction time to visual stimuli is .2 seconds, in training, Maximizer was able to hit 180 degree turns from a dead stop in .3 seconds. Weapon is 15mm Hardox 600 Key that allows for massive bite engagement&lt;br /&gt;

The angle pushes the axis of rotation further back on the robot, closer to the center of mass, allowing for quicker turning. Human reaction time to visual stimuli is .2 seconds, in training, Maximizer was able to hit 180 degree turns from a dead stop in .3 seconds. The armor plow sports 2 skulls, representing the project&#039;s wins against &#039;Special Spatula&#039; and &#039;Herbie 2&#039; &lt;br /&gt;
