[[File:StagBeetleBotMark1.jpg|alt=|thumb|Stag Beetle Bot]]The first year is in the books, for participating in only 2 events Stag did pretty well for it 'self. I was completely surprised that it did. I did convert a D2 kit with a Finger Tech ant weight spinner. The first armor package I tried out was cutting board mounted with "L" brackets and screws. My weapon motor kept landing on the floor, I didn't have my transmitter set-up well.

For my second event I had made polycarbonate wheel guards to replace the cutting board. I wanted to get more coverage for my wheels. Well, that didn't work out to well. The polycarbonate was too thin and was broken on any contact. Fortunately, I had a backup configuration and a second robot ready to go. I had was having transmitter setup issues again. It was not until the Red Hawk X match that my transmitter was properly set-up. (Thank you Pit crew Joe!) Stag was taking on too much damage for me to fix the bot and the wiring too.

The 2023 season is going to be very interesting for me. I am breaking away from the kit parts and making more of my own parts. I have learned how to use a C.A.D. program and have designed a TPU armor package with titanium wheel guards. I am modifying my own tires to cut costs. I am trying different parts on the motors to make them easier to work on. I am going back to the wiring configuration that I used in September, it's lighter and more reliable. I am hoping to have all of these pieces in place by March.
