Outside of NHRL, the team has had success on both ''RoboGames'' and ''BattleBots''. The team also participated in the second season of TLC's ''Robotica'' with '''Deb Bot'''.

In BattleBots, the team got their start in Season 3.0 of the Comedy Central run with '''Deb Bot''' and '''Matts Bammer'''. Both of those robots would compete until the final season of the original run where the heavyweight '''Think Tank''' also joined their roster.

In 2005, the team would branch in a new direction, entering the 2005 RoboGames with the middleweight '''Doom on You!''' which managed a 4-2 record before returning for the RFL Nationals that year and placing 3rd in the middleweight class. Doom on You! enjoyed a long career before retiring in 2017 after a disappointing 2-2 finish.

With Doom on You! on the backburner, the team debuted a new heavyweight for the 2015 RoboGames named '''Whiplash'''. Then, a simple two-wheel drive vertical spinner, it was overturned instantly by '''Whoops!''' before suffering a repeat performance against '''Gruff'''.

With the return of BattleBots in 2015, the team devised a new heavyweight with a combination lifter and vertical spinner named '''Splatter'''. It was entered into World Championship I, but was unfortunately relegated to being an unused reserve bot for that year. Splatter returned for World Championship II, but was quickly eliminated in the first round following a judges decision against Team Whyachi and '''Warrior Clan'''. The Splatter name was retired after this.

With BattleBots on hiatus in 2017, Whiplash returned to RoboGames with Splatter's design. This time, Whiplash carved a path straight to the finals with wins against '''Frankinbot''', '''Vlad the Impaler II''', and the legendary '''Sewer Snake''' before losing to [[Ray Billings]] and '''Swamp Thing'''. Whiplash would continue its tear through the loser's bracket with back to back wins against the robot combat legends '''Crash n' Burn''', and '''Touro Maximus''' before avenging its loss to '''Swamp Thing''' to qualify for the final against '''Original Sin''' where it lost and claimed the RoboGames 2017 heavyweight silver medal.

Whiplash would then go to BattleBots for World Championships III where it made the semifinals in its debut before losing to '''Bite Force'''. The following year, it would compete in the re:MARS side event before returning for WC IV where it cracked the quarter finals before suffering a brutal knockout loss against '''Tombstone'''. In WC V, Whiplash would match its career best finish of the grand final before being thrown out of the arena by '''End Game''' for the title. Whiplash returned for WC VI where it only got to the round of 16 thanks to a controversial judges decision against '''Cobalt''', before returning for that year's re:MARS event where it suffered another early exit against [[Seems Reasonable Robotics|Aren Hill]] and '''Blip'''.
