Welcome! We are the Lees ([https://www.teamhappybots.com/ Team Happy!]). Possessing zero necessary skills, but a whole lot of zeal, we began fighting robots in the spring of 2024. We started off with a Camp Witch Doctor kit, and things have exploded (sometimes literally) from there—with all three of us building and competing with our seven robots.

Welcome! We are the Lees (Team Happy!). Possessing zero necessary skills, but a whole lot of zeal, we began fighting robots in the spring of 2024. We started off with a Camp Witch Doctor kit, and things have exploded (sometimes literally) from there—with all three of us building and competing with our seven robots. Our NHRL debut was in October 2025, with our 3lb robot Happy BirthSLAY!.

Our hope is that our story would inspire families to discover the treasure trove that is the world of combat robotics. In a uniquely supportive and welcoming community, kids develop technical skills, good sportsmanship, strategic decision making, and new muscles to practice overcoming disappointment. Parents don't have to have a degree in engineering to access and master the vast resources available to help their kids enter competitions and create memories to last a lifetime.

Combat robotics has been the best thing to happen to us. The friendships we've found and the obstacles we've worked together to overcome have changed our family for the better. We can't wait to share this experience with you.
