Jim Kazmer is a longtime NHRL competitor and member of Team Liftoff who is known for making robots with unconventional methods of locomotion. Jim is the builder and driver (or co-builder and co-driver) of the 3lb robots Spine Crawler, Project LiftOff, and Shreking Ball; and the 12lb robot LiftOff.
In 2023, Jim won the Sparky Havoc Award for being the builder that "best exemplifies why Austin McChord founded NHRL in the first place."
Jim Kazmer is the father of Andrew Kazmer.
