SawMurai is a Control/Top-Attack hybrid bot built by Ryan Beaver that began competing at Norwalk events in 2019. The robot's primary weapon is a Circular Saw attached to an articulated arm, which is used in conjunction with it's "Dustpan" shape to scoop and pin other robots with the goal of cutting into the frame and top armor of opponent robots and slicing internal components. |

Starting in July of 2021, and additional Minibot was added to the team. Built by Ian Miller of team ResettisReplicas, the minibot was built as a distraction/nuisance bot that takes advantage of the 1lb weight bonus for Multi-bots, with the goal of pestering and pinning opponent robots, allowing the main bot an easier time to scoop up the opponent. |

|Other Fun Robot Facts |

| - The robot went through different names in it's early years, with the first version going by "Little Yama" (based off the fighting robot from the film Big Hero 6) and for a time went under the working title of "Buzz Saw Louie" (named after the character from the film "Veggies Tales: The Toy that Saved Christmas). The final name came up because the builder thought of a funny pun one day and decided to use it. |
