Checkmate is a 3lb custom bot from Team Stamina. He competes alongside with Spartan, Spartan X, Bad Posture, and Voltage.
Checkmate was originally going to be called SPQR, an abbreviation for the Latin phrase Senatus Populusque Romanus, which translates to "The Senate and People of Rome".

Designed in the Bahamas and built in New York and Connecticut, Checkmate is a Beater destroyer. Checkmate packs a very large punch for being only a 3lb bot.
