So this is my first combat robot. In spite of a lame name this was built to test some ideas regarding defense against the prevailing styles of offensive weapons. The armor is a single piece of 6061 bar stock .125 x 2.0 hammered into submission and welded to create a monocoque shell that is likely to hold up pretty well. This is actually the second shell I have made, the first was bolted at the front and was too heavy to allow for any cover protection in the weight limit. This robot will have been in 3 competitions by the time it participates in the 5/6 NHRL event. So far the main shortcoming of this bot is my driving. Will be practicing in the meantime.

Update 6/2/2023: Working on a comeback after my less than glorious battle at the 5/6 event. As warned, my driving prevented me from beating a robot that was disabled from the start. Will try to get my rank down to double digits the next time.

Yes the saw works

Update 7/26/2023: Aiming for a return to Norwalk in September. Reconfigured new improved with SAW! This is my best version yet (photos to follow). Actually can disable robots now (see T-Town Beatdown)

Update 8/21/2023: Momentum! Since May, I have placed 2nd in two competitions, losing to Performance Anxiety both times. (Curse you SSP kit!) Still working on my driving looking for a decent effort come the end of September.
