Nubert is my first NHRL entry and certainly not the last. This bot is a step towards BIG SHOT, my BattleBots application in, like, 2027. The robot may just be an ordinary Fingertech Beater Bar, but it's been modified over the course of its career to be an absolute killer in the arena, and be highly durable. The robot formerly used 4 teeth on its bar, "Delta-RUINER", but it's now using all 8 teeth to maximize damage. Nubert's specialty is sending opponents into orbit, best demonstrated in its high-thrill match with BotCat in November 2022. Nubert has been kicking ass since July 2022, and it'll stand to destroy far more robots in the future. Whenever it's fought another FTBB, it's always won. You hear that, Shreddit Bro? THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE.

July 2022
Nubert's debut was in July 2022. The robot came in with the only major flaw in its design being that it couldn't run its weapon while inverted. The robot was first up against Hyperdrive. This was originally supposed to be one of the first fights of the day, but it ended up being the very last first-round match to take place due to Caden Troyer and Hyperdrive taking long to get their bot 100%. When the match finally started, Hyperdrive missed a box rush and Nubert capitalized for the rest of the match, leaving Caden's bot to die on the rail, giving me my first ever NHRL win, along with Nubert's.
Nubert's next opponent was the scary Brazilian beater of Sombra. Yeah. That match went how you'd expect. Amongst the damage were a) a bent-to-hell fork, b) a big gash in the back of the bot, c) the worst damage to a top plate ever, and d) a completely wrecked weapon belt.
Nubert was then up against 1st Law, a vertical bar from Brandeis' combat robotics club. After taking so much damage, Nubert was crippled for this fight and it was a sh*tshow until I chose to tap out because my weapon and half of my drive was down and I couldn't go further in the competition like that.
September 2022
This event was hell. My first fight was against Sea Dragon’s Roar, where I was winning, but then my robot just chose to power off. The issue was a faulty switch, damaged by SDR. We had no backup switches since we never expected our switch to go bad. We were next up against Stag Beetle Bot, probably one of the best teams we’ve ever met. They pushed us around and we got turned off again. So yeah, it was a sucky event, but we learned stuff and that would help us in our next event.
November 2022
Ok, now it was do or die. If Nubert went 0-2 at this event again, I would retire it. But it's still an active competitor today, so clearly it got a win. It was first up against Mirror Finish, someone who beat Eruption, so tensions were high. However, despite losing my weapon early, I pushed 'em around and won a decision. I then got wrecked by Spartan, and just barely was able to repair to fight Larry 2.0, which was an easy win. I then had probably my most intense fight ever against fellow beater bar BotCat.
