December 2024 road closures

Due to public events in the area, there will be some road closures and congestion near the venue. Here’s everything you need to know to make your journey to the House of Havoc at 165 Water St., Norwalk, CT as smooth as possible:

Road Closures & Best Routes

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: River Fun Run

• Roads Affected: Norwalk River Bridge (Washington St.), N. Water St. near the aquarium.
• Avoid: Exits to East Ave. and the areas around Veteran's Park and N. Water St. (between Ann St. and Washington St.).
• Recommended Routes:
  • Exit 13 (I-95): Use Old Kings Hwy./Flax Hill Rd. to Lowe St., then follow GPS to 165 Water St.
  • Exits 14 or 15 (I-95 & Rte. 7 Interchange): Navigate to West Ave. (turning into MLK Dr.), then turn left onto Monroe St.
  • Exit 12 (I-95): Follow Tokeneke Rd. to Rowayton, then follow GPS to 165 Water St.

1:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Holiday Extravaganza

• Roads Affected: Washington St. (from MLK Dr. to N. Main St.), Madison St., and surrounding areas.
• Expect Congestion: If approaching SONO from Exits 14, 15, or 16, please allow extra travel time.
• Recommended Routes:
  • Exit 13 (I-95): Use Old Kings Hwy./Flax Hill Rd. to Lowe St., then follow GPS to 165 Water St.
  • Exit 12 (I-95): Follow Tokeneke Rd. to Rowayton, then follow GPS to 165 Water St.

Parking Options

Best Option: South Norwalk Train Station Lot & Garage

• Located a ~10-minute walk from the House of Havoc.
• Avoids congestion near the venue.

Closer Options (First-Come, First-Served)

Please note: The main lot in front of 165 Water St. is reserved for VIP ticket holders on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Department of Taxation & Finance (164 Water St.)
• 149 Water St. (non-numbered spaces only)
• 51 Day St.
• Cavalry Baptist Church parking lots (north side of Concord St. between Day St. & S. Main).

NHRL staff and Norwalk PD will be available to assist with parking, direct traffic, and suggest alternate routes if needed.
