So this is my first combat robot. In spite of a lame name this was built to test some ideas regarding defense against the prevailing styles of offensive weapons. The armor is a single piece of 6160 bar stock .125 x 2.0 hammered into submission and welded to create a monocoque shell that is likely to hold up pretty well. This is actually the second shell I have made, the first was bolted at the front and was too heavy to allow for any cover protection in the weight limit. This robot will have been in 3 competitions by the time it participates in the 5/6 NHRL event. So far the main shortcoming of this bot is my driving. Will be practicing in the meantime.
