Chopsicle is a 3lb hammer saw robot.

The first iteration was built in less than 48 hours prior to the November 2020 event. It features an overhead weapon, controlled by a standard size servo. The body is almost entirely 0.375" thick HDPE, cut with CNC. The wheel guards are printed TPU. Weapon pulleys are printed nylon and use 1/8" round belts.

Chopsicle has fast drive and a dangerous weapon, but the first iteration was unable to self-right leaving it frequently vulnerable. It won it's first fight in dominating fashion, defeating PGF by tap-out after sawing two holes in the nylon lid, ripping out the wiring. In it's next two fights, Chopsicle was knocked upside down repeatedly and lost by tap-out and judges decision.

Chopsicle will return to Norwalk for the 2021 season with significant improvements.
