Robot Facts

Emotional Dream before March 18th (retired wedge due to Backlash Wave and Jet Lag totaling both of them. Was also a bad design.)

EMOTIONAL DREAM is a 3lb beetleweight combat robot that is based on the [SSP Lifter Kit-> https://justcuzrobotics.com/shop/p/ssp-robot-kit highly recommended] from Just 'Cuz Robotics. It has been heavily modified by its builder to improve its performance and aesthetics. Some of the modifications include:

  • A custom-made AR500 wedge and a titanium wedge that can slide under and deflect other bots
  • A vertical spinner that can deliver devastating hits to its enemies
  • A carbon fiber sandwiched around a TPU body chassis and uses aluminum standoffs for extra strength and lightness
  • TPU side armor that protects the robot from side attacks
  • Custom wheels that are made to be lighter than the SSP wheels
  • A different gearbox ratio from the SSP kit to increase the durability of the robots drive motors
  • Drive tensioners that prevent the belts from slipping
  • A custom AR600 weapon with titanium and AR500 spares for different situations
  • The ability to drive inverted and self-right
  • A custom anti-beater bar configuration and two different types of anti-horizontal configurations for different opponents
  • JRB Photo took a "hero shot" of my bot.(SEP-30th 2023)
    A custom uhmw and a uhmw/tpu sandwich depending on the opponent

EMOTIONAL DREAM is a versatile and expressive robot that can adapt to different situations and opponents. It has competed in several NHRL events and has ranked 17th twice in the beetle-weight division.
