Creating a new page for your bot is pretty simple! Just follow these steps.

• Before you begin, you'll need to create an account on the NHRL wiki. It's free, and only takes a couple of seconds.
• Once you have an account, make sure you're logged in.
• Upload a picture of your bot, if you have one. It's best to use a photo of your bot against a plain white background, like the one you took at the event. Fill out all the information.
• Be sure to note the filename of your picture; it'll look something like "File:New_Bot.jpg".
• If you don't have a photo of your bot, that's okay! Keep going.
• Image uploads are currently broken on the wiki. Sorry about that! We hope to have them fixed at some point in the future.
• At the top of the wiki page, enter your bot's name in the search bar and hit enter/return.
• If you see a page come up for your bot, that means one of two things.
• There's already a page for your bot. No need to create a page! That was easy.
• There's already a bot with the name you want to use. You'll likely want to rename your bot to something unique.
• Look for a link that lets you create a new page with your bot's name. Click it.
• Paste the following text into the page:
Robot Facts
{| class="wikitable" style="width: 60%"
|-
| Builder || (TBA)

• You'll want to update some of that text:
• If you uploaded an image of your bot, replace "NHRLScanLines.png" with the filename of the image you uploaded.
• Change the text "Image coming soon!" to the name of your bot.
• Update all the robot facts (Builder, Driver, Weight Class, Body Material, and so on) from "Unknown" to the appropriate text. You know your bot best!
• Put double-brackets around each name, like this: Jane Doe. That links to a page where you can put more information about that person.
• "Builder" is the person (or people) who mainly work on the bot. It's okay to put multiple people in here.
• "Driver" is the person who drives the bot.
• If multiple people drive the bot (e.g. it's a multibot), you can put multiple names here.
• If there's a minibot driver, put "(minibot)" after the double closing brackets. For example, John Doe (minibot).
• If your bot is part of a team, please add a row to the table. It should look like this:
|-
| Team || Foo Bar
|-
• In the line that says "Bot Stats", replace "New_Bot" with the name of your bot.
• If your bot name has any spaces in it, replace them with underscores! So if your bot is named Foo Bar, you'll want to replace "New_Bot" with "Foo_Bar", not "Foo Bar".
• If your bot has an ampersand (&) in its name, replace it with "%26". So for a bot named "Foo & Bar", put in "Foo_%26_Bar".
• If your bot is not in the 3lb weight class, update the "3lb" section to one of the following values:
• 12lb
• 12lb_Sportsman
• 30lb
• If there are fights on YouTube you really want to show off, put a link in the Select Fights section!
• If you do this, replace the text "Video links coming soon!" with links to your videos.
• Please link to NHRL fights only. Footage you shot is perfectly okay.
• It's best to embed the video. You can do that by typing the following, replacing "YOUTUBE_LINK" with the URL to the fight you want to highlight.

• You're welcome to show off as many fights as you want. Just know that the more fights you feature, the less of a "highlight" each one will be. We suggest no more than 3 videos.
• At the bottom of the page, if your bot is not a 3lb bot, you'll want to update its category. The other valid categories are...
• Category:12lb Bots
• Category:12lb Sportsman Bots
• Category:30lb Bots
• If the year is no longer 2022, update "Category: NHRL 2022" to the correct year.

Do's and Don'ts

Do:

• Do put in as much detail as you'd like.
• Do check out other bot pages to see what other builders have written. See pages for Division, Voxel, Luma's Weed Whacker 3, and PGF for examples of pages that are informative, well written, and funny.
• Do upload more pictures of your bot and sprinkle them in your page, especially to feature details of your bot. Pictures from your workshop or other places are fine.

Don't:

• Don't be a jerk. Don't write mean, insulting, or hateful things about other bots, other builders, or anyone really.
• Don't try to tweak the statistics manually. Instead, if you're not getting the statistics you're expecting, ask Gil to look into it.
