October 2024 road closures

From NHRL

Due to the SONO Halloween Nightfair, which coincides with our event, we want to make you aware of local road closures and provide guidance on parking and the best routes to our venue at 165 Water St., Norwalk, CT.

Parking & Alternate Routes

To avoid congestion in the immediate vicinity of NHRL, we strongly recommend using public parking lots in the greater SONO area, which are all within a 10-15 minute walk to the venue:

  1. South Norwalk Train Station Lot & Garage (This is, in our opinion, the best option.)
  2. Veteran's Park (A great option for those coming from the north via East Ave. It'll be a lovely day and this is a nice walk!)
  3. Webster St. Municipal Parking Lot (Enter from MLK Dr.)
  4. Maritime Garage at Ann St. & N. Water St. (Note that this garage is in the immediate vicinity of the Nightfair and roads may be congested.)

For those who wish to park in the immediate vicinity of the House of Havoc, NHRL will have additional staff to assist with parking and help direct foot and vehicle traffic. Norwalk PD will also be patrolling and available to advise on the best alternate routes if you’re rerouted. Please remember the main lot in front of 165 Water St. is reserved for VIP ticket holders on a first come, first served basis. Free parking will also be available on a first come, first served basis in neighboring lots:

  • Department of Taxation & Finance (164 Water St.)
  • 149 Water St. (non-numbered spaces only)
  • 51 Day St.
  • Calvary Baptist Church parking lots on the north side of Concord St. between Day St. & S. Main.

Suggested routes

For the easiest access to the area, we suggest approaching the House of Havoc from the south, using Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. to Wilson Ave. and following your GPS from there.

For those coming via I-95 N or Rte. 7: Avoid using Exit 15 (Rte. 7 interchange) and instead use Exits 12 or 13 off of I-95. Local roads connecting to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. should be less congested.

For those coming via I-95 S: Use the East Ave. exit. If you plan to enter via Washington St., please note that while the bridge and Water St. will be open to vehicles, traffic is expected to be heavy. We recommend parking at Veteran’s Park and enjoying a scenic walk across the bridge and down Water St. to the venue.

Below is a map detailing the road closures for easier navigation.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility and can’t wait to see you at the House of Havoc!
